A group of leaders from United Way America and United Way International visited some of the Community Chests in South Africa from 17-25 February 2006. In the photograph are some of the guests enjoying an evening in Johannesburg. Visit by UWI President Africa Region Conference

The Community Chest of the Western Cape received an international award for the significant contribution it makes to advance UWI’s shared mission to improve lives and create long term positive social change in local communities worldwide. Amelia Jones (left) received the Global Network Leadership: Affiliated Organizations award from Arthur Bellis, Board Member of United Way International. The award was made during the UWI World Assembly in May 2006.
