QUESTION: How does the Chest raise money?
ANSWER:
Many thousands of people help the Community Chest to help our fellow
citizens each year. Companies and individuals make donations, people
leave bequests to the Community Chest in their wills or they support our

members of “Give-As-You-Earn” or SHARE where workers make a small
contribution to the Community Chest each month. Each small contribution
made, ads up to a large sum of money which can make a difference.
QUESTION: Can anyone apply to the community Chest for money?
ANSWER:
The Community Chest only allocates funding to registered welfare

effectively utilized. It is very important that our donors know that
their money is not squandered. Contact us to receive an application form
(hyperlink to Contact Us).
QUESTION: Does the Community Chest loan the money to these
organizations?
ANSWER:
No, the money that is allocated to welfare organizations is not a loan
and it does not have to be repaid. The Community Chest is here to help
the community, and the only payment we want is to know that we are
helping them. However, regular progress reports are obtained from the
beneficiaries.
